Dendrimers are monodisperse polymeric material with branched architecture. Over the last few decades dendrimers have developed into one on the most promising research area of the modern natural sciences. Dendrimers have enormous potential for medical applications.
The first Biodendrimer symposium was organised in Lodz (Poland) in 2008. The second edition was proposed in Porquerolles Island (France) in 2010 while the third edition took place in Toledo (Spain) in 2012.
The aim of this Biennial International Symposium on dendrimers is to bring together the research and industrial groups working on biological and medical applications of dendrimers both at the European and international level. The symposium is organised around a strong scientific programme based on plenary lectures and oral communications with sufficient breaks and social gatherings to provide for collaborative networking opportunities, including a welcome reception, poster sessions, coffee breaks, and poster prizes.
The 4th edition of Biodendrimers will take place in Lugano, which is the largest city in Southern Switzerland, the italian-speaking part of the country. This region is considered one of the most beautiful spots in Europe and Mid-June usually marks the beginning of a Mediterranean summer for Lugano.
The conference will take place in the Lugano Convention Centre, called Palazzo dei Congressi, which is located downtown near to the city park Parco Ciani., at 10 minutes walking distance from the central railway station and 10 minutes by taxi from Agno, the local airport.
